EJP Music started out as 1 teacher and 1 piano and grew into the 7 teacher music school we have today.
Founder, Emma passed her teaching exam at the age of 17 and went on to work teach at the Music Academy in Chelmsford where she trained in group lessons. This gave her great foundations for the future. Later she taught privately in her home village of Danbury and after a couple of years had a full diary of clients and an excellent exam pass rate to her name.
At the beginning of 2017 she found the perfect unit to rent in Woodham Walter. This is a small village 5 minutes from Danbury surrounded by Little Baddow, Maldon, Boreham and is close enough to attract clients from Chelmsford, Witham & South Woodham. The Music Studio is now set up with 5 teaching rooms which house an acoustic Piano, Digital Pianos, a Keyboard and a Guitar, Clarinet and Ukulele room too. It has it's own car park and two seated waiting areas for parents, siblings or partners to use. Along with this we now have 7 teachers working at EJP Music all selected for their passion and dedication to Music.
We take the time with all of our clients to make sure their chosen instrument is learnt 'properly'. By this I mean that everyone is taught to read music and light amounts of theory are included in the lessons so you fully understand what you are playing and why. We feel that if you learn this way then by the time you leave us you will do feeling confident that you can go away and buy a book to the standard you got to and play any song in it.
We welcome clients from the age of 3 through to retirement. In fact retirement is a great time to learn especially if you didn't get the chance to when you were younger. It's a great hobby and especially in the winter time!!
Please take look around our website to see how you can start your musical journey with us.
